Pīkau 5: First Steps in Programming: Computational Thinking Progress Outcome 1

 

This pīkau will explain what sequence, decomposition, algorithmic thinking, and debugging look like in the context of computer programming. It will also demonstrate a simple way to introduce these concepts to students in an unplugged manner, that is, without using computers.

 

After completing pīkau 5 teachers will be able to:

 

Explain what sequence, decomposition and algorithmic thinking are in the context of computer programming.

Introduce simple Debugging skills to students

 

Pouahi/Digital Leader pīkau sneak preview module 1

In Pouahi pīkau sneak preview module 1 Start planning for 2019 now and review what the Pouahi | Digital Leaders facilitated course can offer you.  We’ve scheduled 7 intakes, one starting at the beginning of each term, so you can choose what works with your timetable. Each course runs over two school terms. Intakes will be available by the end of this year to sign up for 2019 and 2020. The course has been designed to be flexible and all course material will be available to you regardless of when you start.  We’re giving you a sneak peak by releasing Module 1 pīkau so you can start planning.
